Tamika Walker
Tamika Walker, Romana’s Pilates Level III Instructor Trainer
Tamika, the daughter of Cynthia Lochard (Romana’s Pilates Level I Grand Master Trainer), has been involved in the Method from the very early age of fourteen. As a high-level athlete in her teenage years, Tamika was involved in a variety of sports including touch football, netball, water polo and competitive swimming before a sporting injury forced her to retire, and in the process, led her towards a career in Pilates. Given her experience and with Cynthia as her mentor, Tamika excelled as a trainee, moving to New York to become one of the youngest certified instructors, and now, teacher trainers in the Romana’s Pilates organization, certifying with Sari Meija-Santo (daughter of Romana Kryzanowska and Level I Grand Master Trainer) in 2010. Since her certification, Tamika has spent the years mastering her craft both teaching clientele and training future instructors internationally, guest teaching in many places including New Zealand, Russia, Europe, America, Korea and China. In addition to her Romana’s Pilates certification, Tamika also completed a Certificate III in Fitness at the Australian Fitness Institute. In 2016 she was promoted to a level III Instructor Trainer for the Romana’s Pilates Training program and her responsibilities include presenting the basic level instructor trainer seminar both in Australia and internationally.
