The standing gondola feels great for my tight hips from running. I enjoyed your transitions and pace – I can’t wait to try out your other workouts! I’m really glad this workout is featured in the Pilates Resolution Int program.

I think you’re spot on with the deep hip sockets. I was doing a yogi squat yesterday and realized that’s why I can comfortably have my feet flat in that deep-squat position.
Your tips were excellent and I appreciate you! Looking forward to continuing the journey.

Henry this note was a little holiday gift for me–I’m so excited that your Teaser happened like magic for you!! But really, it’s not magic at all, it’s your consistency and hard work.
Here’s my tips for the Seal which is a notoriously hard one to get back up from. If it’s not hurting you anywhere to do the playpen version then that’s just fine! If you’re focused on staying connected in your lower abdominals, you’ll continue strengthening the connections you need to do it with more control. You can also try placing your hands farther up your calf (instead of under your feet) and see if that allows you to roll with control. I suspect that you have a deeper hip socket which makes winding the arms through the legs a bit of a mobility challenge but the fact that you’re already able to roll around in that position means you’re very close already. Have fun and enjoy the ride, there’s plenty more exercises that will challenge you further as you go :)!

I did this vid for the first time today and I was so excited when you said to come up on the teasers and I just DID it without thinking about it. That was the first time I’d been able to and I did it all 5 times!
The seal is the one thing I’m struggling with. I’m having a hard time rolling up from it, so I end up just feeling like a little kid in a playpen rolling back and forth until I get back up. I’m rolling way further back than you in order to get momentum, and I know you say not to roll that far but I feel like eventually I’ll get to where I can do it with less momentum. Do you have any thoughts or tips?
Thanks again!
Henry
